Flying through another term...

Another term is nearly over! Senior students have been working hard. Level 3 students have completed a research essay this term and are close to completing a huge set of spreadsheets. This will be a total of 9 credits. Next, we're going to dig into databases and award them another 6 credits. The Year 13's are an awesome bunch of hard workers :)

The Level 2 students are waiting for 4 more credits worth of assessment to come back from moderation. They are close to finishing a Presentation standard which will give them another 3 credits. This term has seen a total of 10 credits available to Level 2 students.

Our Level 1 team have produced some fabulous written work this term too and are waiting for the moderation to come back for these credits. They're in the final stages of completing two simultaneous assessments; digital photo editing and a website. They will receive credits for these three standards hopefully around the end of this term (our moderator is very busy right now!).

It will be sad to see the Year 10's move on to their next subject option in another week's time. They are just completing their fourth and final assessment where they've used HTML code to make a simple web page. They've achieved a lot in two terms and I hope to see many of them next year as year 11's!

We're onto our third Year 9 Rotation now and this group are enjoying Scratch programming. Our current task is to create a little dance party in a window which includes animating characters, making backgrounds, adding sound... and they are dealing with image material and lines of code. Some very interesting and creative ideas are emerging!

Another busy term and I'm looking forward to putting my feet up for a few days over the holidays before we launch into Term 3!!
