Achievement Standard 91071 - Implement basic procedures to produce a specified digital information outcome. ∞
What does this mean?
Students are asked to create a mixed digital media product. For example: they might be required to create a document that has elements of spreadsheets, mail merge, and word processing techniques.
Achievement Standard 91072 - Demonstrate understanding of basic concepts of digital media. ∞
What do students do?
Students learn about website construction; design and technical aspects. They analyse and write a report about their findings. This standard requires some homework in order to meet the deadline set.
Achievement Standard 91073 - Implement basic procedures to produce a specified digital information outcome.
What do students do?
Students plan and create a multi-page website for organisational use. This standard requires some homework in order to meet the deadline set.
Achievement Standard 91080 - Demonstrate understanding of the common components of basic digital infrastructures. ∞
What is involved?
This is a new standard for 2016 - and the general topical area is computer science. More information to come.
Unit Standard 26745 - Produce still images for a range of digital media. ∞
What does this mean?
Students learn about digital images; what a good digital image is (size, balance, lighting, contrast, etc). They also learn how to use a device to take different types of digital images (eg: panoramic, landscape, etc). We also learn how to digitally enhance the image qualities and optimise images for webpage and website use.
Unit Standard 18743 - Produce a spreadsheet from instructions using supplied data. ∞
What do students do?
They create a spreadsheet, make calcuations and generate graphs for a mock company scenario (organisational use).
