New Year 10 Topic: Programming with Scratch

Last week turned out to be a productive set of learning curves for some of my Year 10 DTE students. They relished the opportunity to help install SCRATCH onto our machines in B6 - installing software like this was new to some and they listened carefully and followed each step of their instructions to the tee. Amazingly - everything ran smoothly! Who knew computers could comply so readily!

So with the first stage of their mahi out of the way, their curiosity beckoned them to see just what they could do with Scratch. Within a few minutes we had the beginnings of simple games and laughing gallahs (I kid you not). Who knew education could boast fun stuff from such a serious topic!
