Slide Shows!

The topic they all know and love. Most students have made a slide show using Google Slides or Microsoft Power Point before they even get to college. This week the Year 10's are learning what it is to make one that is at commercial standard. Evaluate the good and the bad! What makes a good slide show? Use the KISS (Keep It Simple) principle here... Less is more... A heading, 1 - 2 pictures, short sentences, short bulleted lists - these are the things that help frame an uncluttered slide that the audience can read at a glance. Speech notes in the bottom has everything corresponding nicely and keeps everything in one convenient file (self management & working smart!). The best thing about this topic in Year 10 is that they can see the finish of it with another 3 Level 1 credits (NCEA).
